Have you ever been hanging out at home, day dreaming of the possibilities? You know, you start making plans…in your head…to go and do something really fun and then you think some more about it and you end up wimping out and decide, “Nah, that would be too much trouble, never mind.”
Bad move.
Anything worth doing takes a lot of effort and shame on us when we let that stop us from having some fun and making memories.
Over Labor Day weekend we packed up our camper with clothes, food, games, bikes and loaded down our Suburban with firewood, life jackets and a canoe and off we went to a State Park where we proceeded to have TONS of fun!
We hadn’t been camping in a while and both of my teens talked about how amazing it was to be back in the camper and enjoying all the outdoor fun the State Park had to offer. We all made the commitment that we would go camping once a month…like we used to!
Yeah, that will be a lot of trouble for all of us, between readying ourselves to go and saying no to other opportunities, but it will be well worth it!
So, how many times has your family missed out on something great because you decided, “Nah, too much trouble.”
