Today is a day filled with History. A history of freedom in this "sea to shining sea" land I am grateful for...but on the 4th of July I think of the individual lives who make up our history of freedom. I think of the American Soldier...thank you and God bless you and yours. … [Read more...]

Walking in the park today I saw a Daddy playing soccer with his two young sons...more Dads should do that. I have a friend in my life that always seems to go out of her way to be kind to me...she is a blessing. My neighbors dogs bark at me while I am in my own yard...really, it's my yard?! The stray cat that hangs out at our home won't let me pet him, but whenever I talk to him he scratches his head against the chair and pretends it's me … [Read more...]

Two Knuckleheads, Wynonna Judd and an Epic Reunion

I saw her running through the play ground, her dark hair that was skillfully pulled back with a big red bow was bouncing to the cadence of her tiny thumping footsteps. She lingered in front of the brown metal … [Read more...]
Children Away Parents Play
Be prepared to become insanely jealous - both of my teens are gone this week and though I thought I was going to be so sad...I am not. Hubby and I are having lots n lots of fun and enjoying ourselves muchly! We have also been quite productive, doing little projects here and there! Our meals have been simple and pleasant. Our conversations have been thought provoking and playful. Our prayers and gratefulness more often expressed. The days seem … [Read more...]
Mom To Mom In Israel
Have you ever seen another mom in a crowd of people and just for a MOMent you make a connection? You know…one of those, “I get it, I’ve been there, I feel you mom, you can do it!” kind of connections. Just days ago I had a surreal experience of just such a connection. I refer to it as surreal because it happened halfway around the world, during my trip to Israel and the other mom was an ultra-Orthodox Jewish woman…at least that’s what her … [Read more...]
